    So you want someone to pay you $1000-2000 a month to rent the user base? In the meantime they
    build it up and you then charge them more money?

    Sounds like a bad idea for anyone.

    I wont charge them more money. Its all in contract basis. They can continue to generate income to any level and can continue till anytime..

    According to ths sitepoint marketplace TOs, this isn't a legit sale thread. You have to be transferring ownership. You cannot 'lease' a site.

    And on a side note, you will not be able to find anyone who will build your site for you. It is simply not an attractive proposition. You would need to [i]pay[/i] someone to do this for you, not the other way around.

    I am offering you a website with over 40k members + Hosting + Technical maintainence + All the revenue to you.
    Why would this not be a good offer?

    Say you are paying me 1000$ every month and you are making 2000$ out of it for 6 months (the contract period), You will have 6000$ as profit after the contract ends. You can always renew the contract or quit it.

    Its a mutual benefit for both me and you.

    How much adsense revenue did the site make per day? in the last 30 days?

    That would be the most you could lease it for. I don't see it making $1000 a month.

    This site has pure Asian traffic - means no credit cards , no money, no value.
    And we are not talking about % of fake profiles there, which is high without doubt.
    That's the reason you can't monetize your own traffic.
    End of story.

    I think this could be a good opportunity, it depends on the final lease price. You have to give plenty of chance to recover the investment. For example, nobody will pay you 1000 to earn 1000, and besides that to admnister he site too.

    As alternative consider leasing or selling the ad space as a whole.

    At the very least it would have to be a "lease to own" option like a house...where at 6 months the buyer has first right of ownership or refusal...but I have a website or 2 I would do this(your deal) let somebody work it for 6 months and earn whatever they can then turn it back over to me in 6 mos,plus charge them per month fee...

    If you can't maintain it then sell it. I personally think this is a bad proposition. We bring in more traffic to generate more cash flow. Then after 6 months the contract ends. You have your website back after we did all the hard work. I personally think building a website is the easy part. Getting traffic and maintaining it is the hardest part.

    So, assuming someone "bought" this right to lease... is there anything that would prevent the buyer from redirecting traffic to another site, including telling all the users the URL changed? You said you won't interfere, so really I'd be buying access to 40,000 users and telling them the url changed? And that's okay and when our contract's done we're done? :)

    Combined with your alexa rank makes your pageview claim very sketchy.

    Alright i think i will have to change my decision. I did not realize this is such a bad idea. Thanks to DifferentSeed.

    Since i am not able to manage this website, i would appreciate a partner with whom i can run the site together and share the income.
