Description:

HungryFlix provides movie and music downloads for iPod, iPhone, PSP, Apple TV or computer. HungryFlix provides a revenue share to content owners providing a way for indie media artists to earn income.

Site consists of a custom CMS with Amazon S3 integration for large media storage and transfer.

HungryFlix iPhone application is included, with link from Apple.com domain. Also included are all social network identities (myspace, facebook, twitter).

HungryFlix has growing traffic and excellent rankings in Google. We rank #2 (#1 until very recently) for "ipod movies". First page for "iphone movies", "psp movies" and "apple tv movies".

Revenue Details:

Majority of revenue is from Google Adsense.

67% from search engines, vast majority of this is Google.

20% from referring sites. HungryFlix has links from apple.com, Amazon, dmoz and others.

12% Direct. We have a loyal and growing user base.

Site has about 4500 registered users.

    Adsense revenue from November - present is now here. Adsense was put on the site in Sept/Oct.

    Thanks for all the interest so far...

    Expenses:

    Site is currently running on a VPS at $45/month. This is pre-paid until November.

    With our upgrade to S3, we feel the site could remain on VPS until it hits large growth. The large media downloads are now handled by S3.

    Amazon S3 pricing is variable, based on usage. Our current bill is incredibly small, about $15/month. Here is a calculator:

    We do not have a marketing budget at this time.

    We do have an ad at http://www.filmmaking.com, in the Pixel Directory. This ad will remain for 4 years. This also includes free PR posting on filmmaking.com.
