Digital-SLR-Camera (.) net is a wordpress blog that uses mostly video reviews and video tips about digital cameras. As the videos are posted I usually outline what the video is about, set keywords and write a title that attracts the search engines and visitors.
Below each post I usually put ebay ads directly related to the post. Having the two combined brings in natural search engine traffic. The blog is all setup so you can add these ebay ads easily. Very easily.
I just started this site a few months ago and as you can see by the stats, it is growing steadily ever since. Just keep posting similar reviews and you should be able to keep it growing further. I posted to it 65 times already, so you get all that content that attracts the SEs.
This is a lucrative niche as many of these cameras sell for between $500 and $1500 from what I can tell.
I'm not a big camera guy, but I was able to get this blog rolling along. If you like cameras this would be a great site to have. If you are like me and don't know much about cameras, it still can be a great purchase for you. As I proved, you don't need to be an expert on digital cameras to get traffic and make some income from the traffic.
The income has just started coming as the traffic has increased. I didn't havea channel for the adsense so I am guessing on those based on past experience and also on the eBay sales and widget bucks sales.
Revenue Details:
Revenue comes from eBay ads, widgetbucks, and adsense. I will be posting screenshots soon since I can't seem to upload them directly onto the auction.
Traffic Details:
Traffic has increased steadily since the site was created in mid Dec. 07.
In March, 455 different keyword phrases brought traffic to the site from search engines! That's shows that the site is getting that long tail traffic everybody is looking for.
Most of the traffic comes from direct address/bookmark. This shows people are coming back to the site. A good portion of the visitors bookmark the site.
Hi! I'm new to this so this may be an easy question. Where do you find the videos and how do you know when new ones are out there? Also, is it difficult to add the videos to the site?
