I’ve owned this site for a year. I paid a lot of money for it.The Serps for the site are fantastic and the site truly runs itself!

Perfect for a stay at home mom, or a side job.

The processing, credit card charges and shipping is all done on the back end by the people who ship the lotions.

You do nothing except promote the site, look at your sales orders and keep products up to date. That’s it! As I look into my admin panel there are 6 orders right now totaling over $200.

The busy season is tapering off “usually Jan-June” This year was amazing with sales.

Database of 1500 customers. Over 1000 products all dropped shipped.

When I took over this site money was made via only adsense. In the beginning I tried different methods to make money. The adsense is still on the site and does very well, but the sale of lotions is where the money was at. Tanning products pay well. I started doing great when I was able to get the lotion sales going. The whole situation I have with the lotion sales will transfer to the new owner. I will introduce you to the people who take care of all the processing and shipping etc. They are great people and a great family. They are a family run business and are just awesome to work with. I was lucky to stumble upon them and this situation.

 

I have countless original articles written about tanning and tanning lotions.

I would also love to speak with anyone who is really interested. I wont sell this site to someone without speaking to them since I have to introduce you to the people who do the dropshipping.

All in all this is really a great site! I love logging in everyday and seeing sales. I wish I had this set up th way it is now when i bought it instead of experimenting with different avenues of revenue.

 

Why am I selling it? To make money duh! lol. I put a lot o money into buying the site and promoting it. This site is ready for a motivated new owner who can take it to the next level.

 

Revenue Details:

As of now I dont have totals up for March and April. They should be well over $2000 in profit since it was so busy. I run the site with OS Commerce and for some reason I cant export the orders. Its an older version and could prob use some tweaks. From what Ive just totalled ive made $5508 from this site since June 07.

If you were to hold your own inventory you could make even more.

 

Also with the sales and dropshipping I make profit as follows.

If i product is $100 we split it $50 then i get half of the 50 so $25 off a $100 order

Traffic Details:

Traffic comes from google, yahoo. aol msn etc. Google brings in the most traffic. No paid traffic all generic results for keywords and phrases.

    I do or you will, lol. Thats prob the only annoying aspect of the site, but as long as your are polite and responsive everything is fine. Most of the time if someone asks about an order its about the shipping. I simply forward the email on to my drop shippers and they shoot me the tracking information and everyone is happy. If I had pushed for it I could prob have had my drop shippers deal with the customers, but I didn't want to give them extra work and I wanted to know what was going on with the customers as well.

    I am seriously interested. But have few questions.
    1. How do you handle the returns. How can somebody who is not in USA can handle it?
    2. I see many of the backlinks coming from some specific sites like popthatzit.com etc. Are those your sites? Will link stay? Have you bought links? For how much? etc.
    3. Do you think a person living outside USA can handle it exactly the way you are handling it?

    You get approx 50-60k pageviews per month, please fix your auction details. The 1,5 million is number of hits, which stands for total requests.

    Sorry nikolaalx about that. Google analystics is showing 172,450 pageviews from april1 - may 1st.

    The company that does the processing and shipping will let me know when there is something new or out of stock.

    Ive written a few, but had the majortiy written for me.

    AS of now Im on a very nice dedicated because I have a lot of other sites as well. This could easily run on a shared or vps. Well acutally you will need a dedicated IP address for the SSL cert.
    -Domain cost/registering info
    Domain is with Godaddy. Expires 6/8/2010

    What is your current return policy? And what % of total sales is about return?
    If a bottle has been unopened it can be returned. They have to pay the shipping if they just dont want it.
    If it was a wrong bottle sent we take care of it. % im not sure, but I can honestly say I can count the returns on my hands. Not many at all.

    We mainly ship to the US and Canada. We try not to do international unless its a big order.
    I had one issue with Canada and they dealt with my shippers directly since it was just the easiest way to do it.

    Yes popthatzit.com is mine and the link will stay. Most of the great rankings were there before ptz. Like I said this domain is 11 years old. It was an authority in the tanning business and there are so many links out there from very relevant sites. No crap links.

    Yes no doubt in my mind.

    One more question. Why the low Alexa rating compared to the traffic you show as producing?
    To be honest im not sure. You have to remember I think alexa only gets the rankings from people who use the alexa toolbar. At least I think thats how they calculate it. I always look at alexa as a decent benchmark not the final answer in traffic. all i can do is show you the stats and the search results.

    Ok folks sorry for the delay here. Been quite busy. Also trying to get the March and April numbers.
    As of now I have had a few solid offers for 15k for the site. I have told most people I would walk away happy for 20k.
    I have a few people Im speaking with and we are playing around with the ~20k number.

    I have made a whole spreadsheet of sales with the latest March and april numbers to those who are truly interested.
    Here are the numbers for March and April
    March - Sales Profit - $1539.69 Adsense - $220.55 Total Profit - $1760.24
    April - Sales Profit - $1481.72 Adsense - $232.77 Total Profit - $1714.49

    As you can see those are some great months. This is also the peak of the busy season.
    As of today there are 12 orders totaling $628.60 in my cart from the last 2 days.
