Our site is nearly out of the beta stages. We're looking to sell an equity stake to a new partner and remain on in an advisory role. This person would ideally be an experienced Real Estate Investor and/or community builder.

Financials: Lots of opportunity. We focused our time on development, design and laying the foundation for some good SEO juice. Currently the site turns a modest profit on very little advertising. I'm sure potential buyers / partners realize the value of web properties in this market (real estate, investing, lending). Single clicks through YPN and Adsense can easily exceed $4.00.

The ideal partner / owner would:

  • Run Day-to-Day operations (The site pretty much runs itself if you want it to.)
  • Most importantly, build our budding community!
  • Run PR for the site, networking with existing contacts (trulia.com, mashable.com, bloggers)
  • Forum moderation, management, etc.
  • Blog writing, organize guest bloggers
  • Create targetted campaigns
  • Tell us what we need to design / build to help the community grow

Technology:

  • Rails based social network. NOT out of a box... This is a custom coded niche social network system. The Buyer / Partner would also own the technology.
  • We've intentionally kept the site simple, in the hopes that we will be able to adapt to our users needs and beat out our competitors.
  • We've spent the last few months working out the bugs, link building and we finally have some Google / SEO juice.

With an experienced community builder the site will grow beyond the current pace. We recently were named one of the Top 50 Ways to Market Real Estate Online and every review received to date has been overwhelming positive.

Revenue Details:

We haven't focused any attention on monetization of the site, but installed some basic ad networks to cover our hosting costs.

Traffic Details:

Our traffic reflects the need for an experienced web marketer. Between design and development, we have had little time to build the community or promote the site beyond a few SEO checkpoints, and intended to keep the traffic minimal while we worked out the kinks. It's really not out in the wild yet, but we are listed in the Yahoo Business Directory and have thousands of pages indexed in each major search engine.

    Very nice looking site. Great overall idea as-well.

    Do you think that the current real estate market 'slump' will affect this sites potential popularity? With less people interested in investing in real estate currently, do you think that will inturn mean less visitors for the site?

    Could you PM me with a full owner ship purchase price, and information; Along with information on a 75% owner partnership?

    What are your reasons for selling this site?
