Description:

NOTE: This is relisted because I had a problem with one of the sites during the last auction.

This auction is for most of my web sites. I have too many and I need to focus my attention on a select few, so these have to go. Because freeing up time is more important than the money, I am starting the bidding for $1 and there will be no reserve. The winning bidder will get the domains, the site code sets and database dumps. All sites are in PHP4 or PHP5 and utilize MySQL. A few of these sites are incomplete, so you can trash the code and sell the domains or do whatever you want with them.

The sites included are as follows:

w3t.org (80k-100k monthly visits)

pic.gs (20k-50k monthly visits)

linkbaitme.com (10k monthly visits)

ads.am (unfinished AJAX ad exchange site)

stuffiwant.net (complete but old wishlist site)

cutieoverload.com / cuteoverload.net (turnkey with a few members)

lolercoaster.com (budding blog)

newtrafficpro.com (turnkey with some members and traffic)

crowdsy.com (unfinished image/media site)

piccrowd.com (unfinished image share site)

picmirror.com (budding blog)

Some notes:

I would love to keep linkbaitme.com, but I don't have the time to update it. If you're not going to update it, please give it to someone who will.

w3t.org has a LOT of traffic and a great url algorithm.

pic.gs has a lot of good traffic. It has a cash prize pool contest, but nobody has ever claimed the prize when they won. Removing it would probably go unnoticed. I receive a new email any time an image is uploaded. You'll have to delete a porn image every week or two.

Current total revenue is about $100 on a GOOD month and maybe $30 otherwise. Much of this is via adbrite on w3t or private ad sales on linkbaitme.com Because I am short on time, I'll let you figure all that out. As I said, I'm selling to clear my plate, not to make tons of money, but bid high anyway. =)

Collectively, w3t.org, linkbaitme.com and pic.gs have a ton of backlinks and traffic. I am currently spending no money and very little time on these Sites were established at various times.

If you have questions, just ask me and I'll do my best to answer.

I also have a bunch of domains I'm about to list in another auction. Same deal. I'm going to start them at $1 and take the best bid. The domains are at http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/listings/34952

Traffic Details:

Traffic comes from a number of sources. Most of it is organic traffic coming from natural (unpaid) links and search results. The only expense to increase traffic has been linkbaitme.com's monthly contest which has cost $10 per month.

Questions to the Seller

  1. I almost forgot. There is a FireFox add-on that works with both w3t.org and pic.gs to allow people to just right click on a page or an image and shorten the URL. It could use a little updating, though.

  2. Also... The monthly contest that LinkBaitMe.com is involved in continues for May and I will be responsible for that payment. The buyer may choose to continue contest sponsorship for June forward at his or her choice.

  3. Hi, Why you don't have adsense on them. They would earn alot more compare to adbrite. Did your site got banned from adsense?

  4. turmune: None of these sites are banned from adsense. I wasn't making a lot, so I tried adbrite on a couple. Some sites still have adsense on them, I think.

  5. I would like to clarify that the sites listed here are all part of one big packaged auction. I have had several private offers (some very nice ones, too) to buy individual sites, but because I've already agreed to sell them all to the high bidder here, I can not sell them individually. If you would like a single site, mention it here or PM me and I will gladly forward your name on to the winner so you can work out a deal. Thanks for your understanding.

  6. When selling sites, I poke through them to make sure stuff works before the sale is complete.

I just noticed a problem with Pic.gs that is now corrected. There is an error reporting feature and the site used to not show any images reported more than 5 times. I noticed today that someone had abused the feature to repeatedly report any images with girls in bikinis, etc. I removed the limit so the reporting will still record a problem report in the database, but the images will still show up.

This should return probably 1,000 or more images to the site.

  7. Alot of the backlinks for each of the listed sites seem to come from the same link ring (e.g. joetech.com) which you also own. Does the majority of the traffic come from other sites you own too?

If so, what guarantess are there that you will keep up the links on other sites you own that you are not selling?

    Thanks
    Mike

  8. internetheaven: Traffic comes mostly from google or other sites that I do not own and is not paid for. While I DO link to my sites from my other sites, that is a small percentage of the backlinks and accounts for an almost unnoticeable amount of the traffic. I can't guarantee any backlinks will remain for any sites, but I assure you that they're not going to just all vanish after the sale. I'm sure LinkBaitMe.com will still have it's PR5 Google rank, for example. In short, the only sites that would link to these that I own are the ones listed here and JoeTech.com.
