Description:

Looking for a quick sale. I launched another site a couple months ago (http://buysellads.com) and am no longer interested in running this hobby site of mine, http://13styles.com. The last time I posted an update to the site was about 5 or 6 months ago, but it continues to receive great (all natural & unpaid) traffic.  This site is a great fit for someone who knows a little CSS and can contribute to the site more.

The site used to require login and had a whole menu building system. I took that down and just provided the menus because I didn't want to deal with programming the back end anymore. The database will be included with the sale and it contains ~5K registered users.

Some quick stats:

- roughly 30K inbound links
- frequent StumbleUpon bursts of traffic
- PR 5
- Alexa 83K
- Compete 83K

Revenue Details:

$170 in banner ads (was @ $370, but two recently cancelled)

$30 in AdSense

$50 in Text Link Ads

$120 in source file sales (average of 4 per month)... (people can buy the PSD's for some of the menus)

Traffic Details:

all natural, tons of inbound links, regularly featured in list of css menu sites, stumbleupon frequently picks up for at least a few hundred and sometimes 500-1500 uniques here and there, ranked well organically for the following terms and plenty more:

    Site has great traffic for a 2yr old site!

    Alexa shows 60% -+ of traffic from outside of us..does this affect revenue?

    Are you going to post a bin?

    @68c10, thank you. alexa is sooo accurate... as far as I know countries other than the US have money too (sometimes much more). nope, no BIN, this is a regular auction.

    the reserve price is high enough so that I don't have to sell it for pennies. it's a traditional auction, please no more questions about BIN or reserve. sorry for being cranky, but I've already answered this many times via PM.

    So your actual monthly profit is $150 as the text link ads are not ongoing?

    oops, I made a mistake. When I posted yesterday there were actually two $100 banners ads live @ $100 each instead of just one. Today, we sold another, so the banner ad total is now at $370 instead of $270. Sorry for the mistake ;)

    @designcrowd, not sure I understand your question... before I posted the update above the monthly profit was $370, but after I realized the mistake I made and from the new ad sale today the monthly profit is @ $570/month.

    The point I am amking is that if I buy this site I am only more or less guaranteed around $30 in AdSense and $120 in source file sales (average of 4 per month)...next month or am I missing something?

    sure, that's one way to look at it. a bunch of the banner ads are favicon ads at only $5 each. then, there are three banner ads at $100 each, and then two text links @ $25 each. The odds of everyone canceling at the same time is slim to none. all of the advertisers (except for the ad that sold yesterday) have been there for at least 3 months each. the site is probably going to sell for more than what makes sense from a monetary perspective anyway.

    Hi Todd, regarding the banners, is it true that you keep 25% of the numbers you mentioned via buysellads.com? Just want be sure because thats what I have read on the front page of your new great project.

    Yes, 25% goes to buysellads.com. So, I've obviously made a mess of the ad stats (and another was sold again today), so here goes, one final time:

    - $352.50 in banner ads (75% of $470)
    - $30 in AdSense
    - $50 in Text Link Ads
    - $120 in source file sales (average of 4 per month)... (people can buy the PSD's for some of the menus)

    Total: $552.50

    Sorry for all of the confusion around ad revenue. And yes, I can provide proof for the winning bidder, nothing shady going on here (unlikely that I would risk my reputation on this sale).

    I didnt wanted to suggest that there was anything shady, as you said you wont risk a project like buysellads for this one, I just wanted to have the numbers right :)
