Description:

This blog is over 2 years old and I'm selling it because I want to concentrate on my other projects. All of which I've used this blog as a starting point to launch.

Stats and Ranks

  • Monthly Traffic: 15,000 - 25,000
  • PageRank: Homepage is 3, with many internal pages having between a 1 and 2. (The homepage was a 5 last year.)
  • Alexa: 116K
  • RSS Readers: 570 - 605
  • Content: 1011 Posts with 2807 Comments
  • Yahoo Inlinks: 17,000+
  • MyBlogLog Community - 243 members currently

Content

At first I started writing and reviewing a lot of web 2.0 companies and that's when the blog basically took off. I was getting around half a dozen requests to review a new site/launch per week, I still get like 1 - 2 a week now. I've even convinced a few to buy reviews instead of giving them free writeups.

I usually write around 4 - 5 posts a week now, as compared to 2 - 3 per day when I started, around various topics. The blog has pretty good search engine traffic, I would say around 50 - 60%.

Plugins

The blog runs the OIO Publisher plugin to manage the advertising, I just installed this. All you have to do is change the PayPal email. Also, it comes with a premium version of a plugin I own called WP Auctions, which I launched through this blog, which has a custom skin. Basically the monetization part of it is set.

Also, it has a unique design done by me. You can choose to keep it or use another one.

Community

The blog has a very loyal readership and it has been linked to by other top bloggers like ProBlogger, John Chow, John Cow, Read Write Web, Daily Blog Tips, MSN Tech, PC World and many other blogs.

It has been on the front page of digg once and received over 100,000 visitors from StumbleUpon last October due to one article alone. That article still brings in thousands of visitors a week.

I've used the community around this blog to launch all of my new ventures, which take up most of my time now. Which is why I want to sell this blog and concentrate more on them.

You can continue to blog about what I have been, or take it in a whole new direction. The domain name is flexible in that sense.

Revenue Details:

I haven't been concentrating much on making money through this blog. As I stated above I just installed the OIO publisher plugin to try and do so. But I don't have the time to market it anymore.

At the peak the blog was making over a $1000 p/m through a mixture of paid reviews, advertising and affiliate programs.

I've included some recent screenshots of the kind of money I make now with it.

I don't expect you to look at this sale in the typical (revenue x 12) formula as there is a lot of content on the blog which is worth more than the amount of time I have had to monetize it.

It can command a price of up to $250 per review on ReviewMe.com and a price of up to $500 per review on SponsoredReviews.com (in fact, I recently turned down a $500 review to write about Poker because I don't know anything about it)

Traffic Details:

50- 60% of the site traffic is from search engines for a variety of blogging/web 2.0/online media keywords. One keyword was bringing in around 200+ visitors a day at one point of time.

The rest is from social sites like StumbleUpon, RSS readers and linkbacks.

Traffic is anywhere from 15,000 - 25,000 per month.
