Description:

CheapAssAirsoftGuns.com is a very stable, low maintenance, quality content site.  It takes the form of a blog, but only needs a couple of posts per month to keep its traffic, which is almost 100% from Google search.  It has had stable income for the last 4 months and no promotion has been done for months.  When I started the site I did some link building using free methods.

CheapAssAirsoftGuns.com is about Toy guns, specifically airsoft guns which are the same as BB guns but tend to be used more seriously as a sport, much like paintball and also in military training.  Airsoft guns are very realistic looking and are collectors’ items.  They shoot small plastic pellets called “BBs”, that sting a little when they hit you (they are not real weapons!).

I wrote all of the content myself apart from 3 articles, which I bought from 2 different writers on Digital point forums for $10 each.  I can put you in contact with airsoft writers if you need them.  I have solid stats for the last 4 months but the first post was published way back on November 2nd, 2007.

That shows how easy to run this site is!  Just a couple of posts post per month month keeps its good Google rankings.  You could choose to grow the site by posting more often if you want to.

The site has a highly optimized Wordpress theme to get the maximum number of adsense clicks and a custom designed header graphic

Traffic:

April: 2975

May:  3645

June so far 2000 visits.

Traffic is very stable hovering at 3000 visitors per month for the last 4 months. 

Other stats are that it is a PR2 and has an Alexa rank of 716,125, although very few airsofters have the Alexa toolbar installed.

You can see this a very stable site, highly ranked in the SERPS by Google and so it selling for a multiple of 12-15 months of earnings is a bargain and is the amount I am looking for.

I’m selling the site because I need the money for going on holiday this summer, it will be sad to sell it!

The site is hosted with Bluehost.  It can be transferred to your sever or more quickly to a new bluehost account if you make one.

    Why are you selling it? Why don't you pay a content writer to update it twice a month for you and keep it?

    I would keep it (believe me I had a really hard time deciding to sell) but I am going on holiday later in the Summer and need the money to go.

    Accordng to analytics, you are getting no more than 150 page views per day in May but on the adsense it shows sometimes close to 1000 page views in may a day. Something does not add up here. Are you showing the earnings for this domian alone or others too?

    Hi monton, good question.

    The adsene impressions are much higher because I use multiple tracking channels. E.g. I have a tracking channel for the Adsense link unit and others for different adsense units, so a visitor might make 2 page impressions in Google Analytics - which are the real page impressions, but they would make 2 impressions for each adsense channel used on the site.

    By the way, you say you have 25 reviews of these types of guns. How many of these guns are there on the market i..e whats the scope for the site to grow?

    There are 25 posts, some are reviews, some are tips for upgrading the guns, there there is one about airsoft clothes and another about airsoft games like capture the flag. It covers the sport as a whole.

    In terms of the number of different airsoft guns, there are many hundreds of different models, I would estimate around a couple thousand in total with perhaps 100 or 200 being commonly used. New models are still being released. There are about 10 main brands selling them (e.g. Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, CYMA) and the the sport is very popular in east Asia and growing in popularity in Europe and America.

    I've attached another screenshot showing the main adsense channel from may. Impressions still look higher than in analytics, but Adsense always seems to show more impressions, it could be because it is tracking my visits to the site as well. Just use the Analytics stats for traffic.
