High Profile Business Resource Portal - PR6, 1800+ back-links - BusinessDailyReview.com

Business-oriented sister site to the reknowned Arts and Letters Daily and Scitech Daily Review.

  • Page views/month: 1,500
  • Monthly Revenue (USD): 50
  • Google Pagerank: 6

Description:

This is a business-oriented sister site to the reknowned Arts and Letters Daily and Scitech Daily Review. However, we stopped updating it some time ago due to other calls on our time, so here it is.

The most common search keywords which lead people to Business Daily Review when they use search engines: business, ecommerce, invest, management.

Approx maintenance/updating time: 30 mins to 1 hour per day.

The reserve is modest, grab it while you can!

On offer in the auction is:

* domain name

* all existing visible content and design

* a small "mail me when updated" user list

* the excellent page rank, inwards links and site award history

* its database of all earlier items (currently held in an Interbase/Firebird database, but can be exported as text for you if you prefer). This database is used to support the search facility currently on the site, and available to you as an option (see below).

OPTIONALLY available to the site purchaser are any of these software or service offerings:

* DSC (Daily Site Composer), a Windows utility which makes adding new items, display ads etc. to this site very easy indeed. It is fully independent of the back end (i.e. you can host on any server supporting FTP and still use DSC).  Cost: $1,000 including 30 day email helpdesk to get you started.

* Hosting service supporting the search and "mail me when updated" service we currently have on the site, triggered by DSC uploads. This service uses the database mentioned above to support the search, and automatically maintains a listing of people wanting daily emailed updates (this is fully automatic, you don't need to do anything). Hosting cost: $50/month, traffic neg.

* Alternatively, if you want to have these back end services but do your own hosting, you may want to buy a lifetime transferable licence for the web automation software which supports the search and mailing features. Runs on IIS under Win2K or later, includes remote installation support, all necessary licences and 30 day email helpdesk. Cost: $4,500.

Revenue Details:

Site has Google ads and display ads but currently is not actively maintained, so current display ads are contras or in-house.

Traffic at peak was 10,000 unique visitors per month (currently 1,000) and its established content, high page rank plus many quality inwards links will allow rebuilding to that level and beyond.

Traffic Details:

http://extremetracking.com/open;unique?login=bdreview has been tracking the site since its inception.

Identifiable visitors are 50% North America, 6% Oceania, 4.5% Europe, 4% Asia. The business orientation of the site leads to a high proportion of business-interested visitors, especially small-medium business operators.

  6. Thanks for asking. There's no Buy it Now price as we want this to go via auction. However, the reserve is not high, so bidding could get you a bargain.

  14. I'm very interested in your web site and have a few questions... I'm curious about the current backlinks: when searching Google on link:www.businessdailyreview.com, it shows a count of 230 backlinks, most of which are from pages on only three different sites. I did also see a few .edu links. Are any of these links purchased? If so, are they permanent? If they're not permanent, what's the monthly cost?

  15. The 1800 back-link statistic heading this auction comes from the reports at http://domainpagerank.com/

There are no paid or maintained inwards links to the site, never have been. On some search engines (not Google I think) you may find many more inwards links if you look for businessdailyreview.com, as we have promoted it more under that shorter form.

For any interested: our expectation is that such inwards links would continue, provided the new site owners continue to offer an approximately similar experience and value to users. And a few links specifically from sites we own (such as from scitechdaily.com) would be kept on the same basis. That doesn't mean "site must be exactly like now", but certainly means "must not be a porn portal", or several of the other aggravating non-added-value uses of high page-rank sites. Common sense applies, in other words.

Finally, please note that time zone differences mean that conditional bids placed close to the auction end time may not be noticed in time to be accepted. Thus, if you have anything you'd like to discuss -- particularly any condition you might otherwise want to attach to a bid -- PM me about it very soon.

Happy bidding and good luck all!
