I’m probably crazy for doing this as I spent a lot of time creating and working on this site about a month ago, but I’ve decided to list it here on a 3 day auction with no reserve. Before we get into details let me be clear on one term. Payment must be made within 24 hours if using western union or moneygram or must be completed with in 4 business days if using escrow.com (Escrow.com is the method of choice for buyers looking to pay via wire transfer). With that out of the way let’s discuss the site:
The site for sale is carbonpokernow.com.
This is a 26 page site – each page at the minimum fills the length of the sites template with many pages going way over. This is unique content.
The site should be WC3 valid, the code is clean (non bloated) making it easier for search engines to read it. Everything about the site was designed with search engine optimization in mind. It is not the flashiest site and it uses compressed down images to increase load time etc. It’s a site that is designed to be worked for ranking for a few good carbon poker related terms.
It currently uses wordpress as a CMS, but you would not know this by looking at the source code as it’s really clean.
There are a few main keywords the site is looking to rank for:
Carbon Poker
Carbon Poker Bonus
Carbon Poker Review
Carbon Poker Comp Points (We try ranking for this as some people that are looking to sign up – go searching this to see how comp points are earned as the Carbon sign-up bonus relies on earning comp points)
This site is brand new; it has a decent jump start at ranking for those terms and should be on the first or second page of Google for each. A new owner adding article to sites that include links to these terms and finding other ways to link to these terms should be able to improve rankings as links are developed and the site matures.
There are dozens of other less profitable keywords the site can rank for then when added up should also produce some revenue.
Reason for Selling:
We created this site as a demo for our website design service. We sell poker mini sites like this based on a $250 base cost + $35 per page. A site like this we would charge someone $1260 to develop for them. They supply the domain, prepay and get the site in 10 days. This site I feel has more value as we’ve already got it some links, got it indexed, its there, potential buyers can look at it, the guess work as to if the site has potential or not is obviously greatly reduced.
My primary business is poker affiliating and we own some large sites. I started the website design service because I was tired of being short on staff for my main business. I decided to go overboard in hiring designers and content writers. This way I always have plenty of people available to do work on sites I own and in between to continue to supply them with excess work we’ll be doing side projects like this.
To put it simply the site is for sale because it was designed with the intention of selling it.
About the Monetization of the Site:
Carbon Poker offers 40% revenue share on the profit they make from all players referred. This is paid monthly and is for the life of the players.
If you’re not a Carbon Poker affiliate you need to set up an affiliate account. If you see this page of the site http://www.carbonpokernow.com/affiliates.html and sign up to the Carbon Affiliate Program using the links on that page we’ll give you some added support and links. We’ll discuss that portion only after the sale; you can wait to set up affiliate accounts till then anyways.
The affiliate links are easy to change as there is one location on the site that controls the affiliate links for the entire page, so changing one file will update all the links on the site to your own.
Payment options:
MoneyGram and Western Union Payments to US - Available to All (Price will be discounted $55 from the winning bid amount, in order that we cover much of the fees for the buyer sending payment)
Escrow.com - buyers looking to purchase through wire. (Buyer Pays entire escrow fee as we have seperate $55 in fees between the $40 fee Escrow charges to wire our Canadian business account and the $15 fee that bank charges to accept the wire)
Paypal or Poker Site Transfer - This is available only to certain buyers at our own discretion. These methods will be limited mostly to established we either have done business with before or know of well. If we haven't discussed it assume this is not an option.
Revenue Details:
This is a brand new site that is highly optimized to recruit and convert players to the online poker room Carbon Poker. I currently own dozens of established sites like this one promoting various poker rooms and have always done well with them. Based on Carbon Poker paying 40% revenue share ongoing for life of referred players this site should be earning decent money with little effort soon. With it only being a few weeks old current income is both unknown and estimated to be low.
Traffic Details:
Traffic details hard to determine. These are estimates based on Google Analytics recently instaled. Its getting 10-12 hit per day the past few days.
To answer a couple questions I got.
Yes, The domain comes with the sale. I'll also include the Google log in which is an @carbonpokernow.com address and the buyer can take over the Google Analytics and Google sitemap account with it.
The domain is registered at Godaddy and I can push it to buyers godaddy account free.
If buyer needs help putting it on their own hosting account, I'll gladly assist or if they prefer do it for them.
