Description:
MediaJobs.net is a U.S. based online job board with over 5,000 jobs in media, marketing, advertising and public relations. Also included in this sale will be all of the other sites in the MediaJobs Network, which include NYMediaJobs.com, AtlantaMediaJobs.com, SanFranMediaJobs.com, and 14 others. (I will list them below). The primary site is MediaJobs.net, and the regional job boards were created to discourage competitors.
About MediaJobs.net:
1) The site has generated over $37,000 in gross revenue over the past 12 months.
2) Ranked #1 on Google for KW "media jobs"
3) Multiple revenue streams - make money on employer job postings and job seeker resume postings

10) This site is powered by Beyond.com. Beyond.com's salesforce follows up on all employer registrations, upselling them job posting packages and resume packages.
11) Beyond.com also markets to job seekers, sending them monthly newsletters that bring them back to the site.
12) Job seeker revenue-generating opportunities include purchase of (or opting into) magazine subscriptions, credit card offers, debt settlement, resume advice, continuing education, background checks, franchise offers and banner ads that run on the site.

Here is a press release I put out a year ago:

I'm selling because I want to focus on my other job boards. But this is a great site to have, as online media and social networking continue to grow and contribute jobs to the economy. And you don't have to worry about competing with the .com version of the site, because it's just a links page.
Bid with confididence! To ensure a smooth transition, I will provide ongoing support and advice for up to 6 months.
If you buy the sites and do absolutely no promoting, you will average $750 per month. But if you advertise and promote the site, your earning potential is unlimited.

Revenue Details:
Revenue is generated by sales of job postings and resume search packages to employers, and on resume postings by job seekers.
The site is powered by Beyond.com. They will charge a service fee of $250 per month for the first 12 months. And they collect all of the revenue, paying out the site owner 45%. This is a good deal, because they handle all of the hosting, sales, customer service, billing, and tech support. Average sale is $333 (site owner nets $151). Since I launched the site a year ago, I have grossed over $37K (net $16K) including 2 sales of $1,500 (net $675) and 1 sale for $2,400 (net $1,080).
More information about Beyond.com can be found here: http://www.beyond.com/software/Enterprise/beyondEnterprise1.asp
Traffic Details:
The traffic is organic traffic that comes from being ranked #1 in Google for KW "Media Jobs"
Also ranked very high on Yahoo and MSN
The usual - why selling? Any bin in mind? Any type of marketing? How deep is the relationship with beyond.com - can you opt out of a relationship with them..
Can I see search statistics please?
Cheers
Ari
