Description:
About the site
The Lost Blog is one of the world’s most popular websites dedicated to the ABC TV-series “Lost”.
The site has been mentioned in articles by Google, The Guardian and an uncountable number of websites, books and magazines. We have received interview requests from MSNBC and TIME Magazine. Through the site, I have also worked with Lost production company Touchstone Television to help them find suitable persons for their Advisory Panel.
We have a very active reader base and often host very intelligent discussions in the comments of the blog. It is not unusual to see over 150-300 comments on posts focusing on episodes or theories. We currently have over 500 posts and close to 8,500 comments.
The posts have been written mainly by myself, but around 100 of them are written by other contributors.
The site is the first result on Google searches like "lost blog" and "new lost", on the first page of keywords such as "lost episode" and "lost news" and the first result on the third page for the highly competitive keyword "lost".
The Lost Blog is running on the latest version of Wordpress. The layout has been custom designed by me and has gone through a lot of tweaking to get it as close to perfection as possible. Plugins and features like polls and notification of new comments since the last visit have been implemented and customized for the site.
Domains
Besides lostblog.net, the domain http://www.thelostblog.net would also be included in the sale. The domains are registered with Namecheap and can be easily pushed or transfered.
Other Details
Alexa Rank - 228,717
Feedburner subscribers - 1,443
Reason for selling
I'm still a dedicated fan of "Lost" but have decided to focus 110% on my writing/directing career.
Other thoughts
Ideally, I'm looking for a buyer who wants to maintain the sense of community with the regular readers.
The Lost Blog is know for not posting or allowing discussion of spoilers. Most current readers seem to appreciate that.
I'd be willing to help the new owner settle in during 2-3 weeks after the sale.
If you have any questions, just ask!

Adsense earnings Feb 07
Somewhat overvalued. Most sellers tend to ask for around 9 - 12 months earnings as a guide price. Not only that, as ratings of the show fall worldwide, you will be lucky to get a season 5 + 6, this gives the buyer only 2-3 years to make any money. If I was buying a website with maybe 2 years left to make money, a BIN of nearer $2000 would be more representitive of its true value?
