WEB 2.0 DEVELOPER (PHP + MYSQL + AJAX TECH)
A boutique web design firm is looking for a skilled web 2.0 developer. This developer should be well versed in PHP, MYSQL, JAVASCRIPT, XHTML, CSS, DOM, and the AJAX framework(s). Along with knowledge of these web technologies, good development practices and methodologies are required. We are looking for someone to develop in a very modular and organized manner. This developer should also be capable of following requirements and sticking to timelines. Most importantly, this developer should possess GOOD PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS.
Requirements will be in a consistent form of base development work with module add-ons. Development of these modules will occur at their first sale, and will then be used in subsequent sales. Higher pay will accompany these first ‘development’ sales (1.5 times). There is possibility of ‘on the fly’ development requests, but these will be a rare occurrence. All modules have technical and functional specs ready. There are only a small number of modules and they are very straightforward.
The development work effort is estimated at about 4-8 hours per site. This time is estimated with the assumption that modules are already developed. The development task will consist of taking an already produced XHTML document, along with the associated CSS document(s), and attaching modules, creating databases, inserting pre-written content, checking performance and quality, and finally uploading the files to the web server. Opportunity beyond these client sites also exists.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is dependent upon sales. Our initial estimates are 10 sales per month. Expected growth to 20 sales per month at the 8 month marker with exponential growth thereafter. Payment is $150 per developed site. If a module is being developed, this payment is $225. At 10 sales per month, this job is very part time and gross’s $1,500 per month. At 30 sales per month, this job is full-time and gross’s $4,500 per month. These prices are low averages and are based on actual sale amounts.
At this point, our company does not hire individuals as employees. For tax purposes, we will set you up with a personal LLC and cover filing fees. We will also recommend a CPA to ensure you receive all possible tax deductions.
PRE-REQUISITES
We are looking for someone who possesses the following:
0-100 years of professional experience (no this is not a miss-type), professional attitude, enjoys having fun, located on Earth, SELF-MOTIVATED, ORGANIZED (TYPE-A), ENTREPRENUERIAL.
All interested parties will need to provide a resume and portfolio of past work along with 1-3 references.
