GENERAL INFORMATION
The Proxy List Website Pack contains files used to setup and run a dynamically updated proxy list website. The pack costs just $15.

The main page of the proxy list website includes a list of web proxy sites. Web proxies are used to allow the web proxy site users to bypass the internet filtering software at their school or workplace, and also to provide them with anonymity and greater control over their browsing experience.
The proxy list on the site automatically updates once a day with new proxy site links. The remote proxy list it updates from is maintained be me, the site author, and is also used with my own proxy list sites. Proxy sites tend to get blocked by web filters fairly quickly, so the users of those sites are in constant need of links to fresh, new proxies.
No ongoing administration is required for the site itself. The site will automatically update the proxy list using internal scheduling. The owner can simply upload it, configure it, and forget about it.
The site includes 'Acceptable Use Policy' and 'Privacy Policy' pages, as well as a PHP contact form that uses image validation to prevent spamming (the owner's email address does not appear in the source code). These pages are important as many advertisers and search engines either require them, or favor sites which have them.
The site also includes a remotely hosted chatroom and forum. The forum is also remotely administered. The site owner can substitute their own chatroom, forum, etc, by editing the site files; if they wish to do so.
A backend administration interface is included with the site. This admin interface allows you to easily change the advertising codes, site name, and other configuration data.
REQUIREMENTS
The site does not require a database, cronjobs, or htaccess support.
The site does not need to be installed at the root of a domain. It can be installed in a sub-folder.
The site requires a web hosting account.
The site requires support for PHP version 4.4 or higher. Version 5 support or higher is recommended. Most web hosts should support this.
The site requires that support for the PHP cURL library is available on the host server. Most web hosts provide support for cURL. If your web-host does not provide cURL support, then try contacting them to request that they add it.
The site requires the ability to read and write files to the local file-system (within the website's local folder structure). This should be provided as standard with most web hosting accounts.

SETUP
When you purchase the website pack, you will be given a download link for a zipped file containing the website files. Download the zip file, unzip it, and then open the 'READ_ME.html' file found inside in a web browser. This file includes instructions on setting up the website.
To setup the site, you first need to upload the files inside the 'SITE' folder to your web hosting account using an FTP program such as FileZilla, or your web hosting account's online file manager. The following files need to be writable: data/proxylist.html, data/config.php, data/current_day.php, admin/admin_password.php. If you have any problems saving configuration data to these files, then use your FTP software, or online file manager, to change the file permissions to 666. Check the user documentation for the FTP software or file manager for information on how to do this.
Once you have setup the site files; open the admin url listed near the top of the 'READ_ME.html' file in a web browser (change 'http://yoursite.com' to the actual address of the site), and use the admin password to login to the admin interface. Use the 'Set New Admin Password' option to set a new admin password. Make sure you use a hard-to-guess password. The password is stored in the file 'admin/admin_password.php', so look in that file if you need to recover a lost password.
Use the 'Edit Configuration Data' area on the admin page to configure the site. The various configuration fields include descriptions which clearly detail what each field is used for.
ADMINISTRATION
To login to the adminsitration interface, go to 'http://yoursite.com/admin/' (change 'http://yoursite.com' to the actual address of the site), enter your admin password into the textbox (the default password is listed near the top of the 'READ_ME.html' file supplied with the website files), and click on the 'Login' button. The administration page includes detailed descriptions for the various configuration options.

ADDITIONAL INFO
The proxy list used with the site is a regularly updated list I have on my site ProxyFreeList.Com. I use this list for my own sites and update it once a day with fresh, new proxy sites. Proxies get blocked fairly quickly, so it is important to have a fresh, regularly updated list to keep people coming back to the site.
If you wish to use your own proxy list, rather than the one from ProxyFreeList.Com, then open the 'index.php' file in a text editor, look for the line containing the URL 'http://proxyfreelist.com/proxylist.html', and change that URL to the address of your own proxy list. Or, alternatively, remove all the text in that file from the '//--' to before (but not including) the '?>', and replace the '<? echo( $proxylist ); ?>' text in the file, with your proxy list code. The proxy list code should consist of a list of html hyperlinks to the proxy sites listed. Each link should be followed by a linebreak tag.
